The Casa de Angelo renovation encompassed the remediation of
original construction defects; rehabilitation of connectivity areas; installation of
significant energy upgrades.
The exterior of the building was reconstructed with a pre-finished Hardy-Plank
product that carries a 50-year warranty. All exterior doors, windows, electrical
fixtures, irrigation and landscaping were replaced . All hydraulic elevators were
retrofitted and retooled.
Most significantly, PGCC completed, to date, one of
the largest solar hot water
multi-family installation in the Sacramento area. Through research of compatible
system components, PGCC was able to bring online a solar storage and collector system
at an affordable cost. The components included Harpis Energy Storage and Solar
Collectors matched with Navien 98% efficient Tankless Hot Water systems. The combination
of these unique systems has decreased gas consumption at the property by 45%. PGCC has
been acknowledged by the Davis Energy Group as an innovative and resourceful General
Contractor.
The result of our electrical retrofit program includes a reduction of usage of
89,887 kwh. The Carbon reduction is similar to 80,088 miles of driving.
The irrigation system upgrades, water system monitoring systems and simple replacement
of fixtures annually saves 558,335 gallons of water and equally reduces
waste-water necessary for processing.
The Gas Savings from this installation will be approximately 45%. Annual Carbon
Reduction is close to 50,000 lbs or 55,000 miles of driving.
